Official Announcement & Festival Regulations

The 4th FEFKA International Short Film Festival, organized by the FEFKA Directors Union, was officially inaugurated at the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) by internationally acclaimed Canadian filmmaker and Spirit of Cinema Award recipient Kelly Fife Marshall.

Recognized as the largest and most prestigious competitive platform for short films in Kerala, the FEFKA Short Film Festival continues to expand its scope and stature. Beginning this year, the festival introduces enhanced cash awards to celebrate excellence in filmmaking and technical craftsmanship.

Major Awards
  • Best Short Film – ₹1,50,000
  • Second Best Film – ₹1,00,000
  • Third Best Film – ₹50,000

Each award includes a commemorative plaque and a certificate of appreciation.

Individual Excellence Awards
  • Best Director – ₹10,000
  • Best Screenplay
  • Best Cinematography
  • Best Editing
  • Best Background Music
  • Best Art Direction
  • Best Costume Design
  • Best Makeup
  • Best Sound Design
  • Best Visual Effects (VFX)
  • Best Actor
  • Best Actress
  • Best Child Artist

Each of the above categories will receive ₹5,000, along with a plaque and certificate of appreciation.

Special Jury Mentions

Special Jury Mention Awards will be presented for exceptional performances and outstanding artistic contributions, at the discretion of the jury.

Award Categories

Awards will be conferred under the following five categories:

  2. Campus Film
  3. Pravasi Film
  4. AI Film
  5. Animation Film
  6. FEFKA Directors Union Members Category
Jury & Certification
  • The festival will be judged by a distinguished panel comprising leading directors, technicians, and eminent personalities from South Indian cinema.
  • Jury decisions shall be final and binding.
  • All officially selected films will receive a FEFKA Participation Certificate, issued digitally.
Eligibility & Submission Guidelines
  • Films must have a maximum duration of 30 minutes.
  • There are no restrictions on subject matter or theme.
  • Entries are open to Indian and international films, including silent films.
  • Subtitles are mandatory for films in languages other than Malayalam.
  • Films must be submitted via a Vimeo, Google Drive, or YouTube link.
  • Participants may submit multiple films.
Entry Fee
  • General Entry: ₹2,500 per film
  • FEFKA Directors Union Members: ₹1,000 per film

The registration fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Important Conditions
  • Films submitted to previous editions of the FEFKA Short Film Festival are not eligible.
  • FEFKA reserves the right to use excerpts from submitted films for festival promotion, publicity, and archival purposes.
  • FEFKA shall not be held responsible for any disputes arising from submitted entries, including copyright or ownership issues.
  • As in previous editions, the awards ceremony will be presented by eminent figures from the Indian film industry.

നിയമാവലികൾ 

  1. ഫെഫ്ക ഡയറക്‌ടേഴ്‌സ് യൂണിയൻ നടത്തുന്ന നാലാമത് ഫെഫ്ക ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ ഷോർട്ട് ഫിലിം ഫെസ്റ്റിവലിൽ ജൂറി തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന മികച്ച ചിത്രത്തിന് സമ്മാന തുകയായി ഒന്നര ലക്ഷം രൂപയും രണ്ടാമത്തെ ചിത്രത്തിന് ഒരു ലക്ഷം രൂപയും മൂന്നാമത്തെ ചിത്രത്തിന് അമ്പതിനായിരം രൂപയും ഫലകവും പ്രശസ്തി പത്രവുമാണ് അവാർഡ് നൽകുക .

  2. മികച്ച സംവിധായകന് പതിനായിരം രൂപയും മികച്ച തിരക്കഥ , ഛായാഗ്രാഹകൻ, എഡിറ്റർ , പശ്ചാത്തല സംഗീത സംവിധായകൻ , കലാ സംവിധായകൻ , കോസ്റ്റ്യും ഡിസൈനർ , മെയ്ക്കപ്പ് ആർട്ടിസ്റ്റ് , സൗണ്ട് ഡിസൈനർ , വി എഫ് എക്സ് ആർട്ടിസ്റ്റ് , നടി, നടൻ , ബാലതാരം എന്നിവർക്ക് 5000 രൂപയും ഫലകവും , പ്രശസ്തി പത്രവുമാണ് അവാർഡ് .

  3. ജനറൽ കേറ്റഗറി , ക്യാമ്പസ് ഫിലിം , പ്രവാസി ഫിലിം , AI ഫിലിം , അനിമേഷൻ ഫിലിം, ഫെഫ്ക ഡയറക്‌ടേഴ്‌സ് യൂണിയൻ അംഗങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള വിഭാഗം എന്നിങ്ങനെ 6 കേറ്റഗറികളിൽ അവാർഡ് നൽകും .

  4. മികച്ച പ്രകടനങ്ങൾക്ക് സ്‌പെഷൽ ജൂറി മെൻഷൻ അവാർഡുകൾ നൽകും.

  5. ജൂറിയുടെ തീരുമാനങ്ങൾ അന്തിമമായിരിക്കും .

  6. മത്സരത്തിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കുന്ന എല്ലാ ചിത്രങ്ങൾക്കും ഫെഫ്കയുടെ പാർട്ടിസിപ്പേഷൻ സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് മെയിലിൽ അയച്ചു കൊടുക്കും .

  7. തെന്നിന്ത്യൻ സിനിമയിലെ മുൻനിര സംവിധായകരും സാങ്കേതിക വിദഗ്ധരും , താരങ്ങളും പ്രാഥമിക , അന്തിമ ജൂറികളായി ചിത്രങ്ങൾ കണ്ട് വിലയിരുത്തും .

  8. ചിത്രങ്ങൾ വിമിയോ , ഗൂഗിൾ ഡ്രൈവ് , യു ട്യൂബ് എന്നിവയിൽ അപ്പ്ലോഡ് ചെയ്തതിന്റെ link ആണ് അയക്കേണ്ടത് .

  9. ദൈർഘ്യം 30 മിനുട്ടിൽ കുറവായിരിക്കണം . ഉള്ളടക്ക വിഷയങ്ങൾക്ക് നിബന്ധനകളില്ല .
